Competition Details:

• Topic: Articles may cover any aspect of Intellectual Property Rights.
• Submission Guidelines: Submit your original, unpublished articles in Microsoft Word or Google Doc format, adhering to the Bluebook citation style.
• Word Limit: 1,200-1,500 words.
• Submission Deadline: 28th July 2024.
• Judging Criteria: Creativity, relevance, clarity, and technical understanding.
• Prizes: Cash rewards for top entries, publication opportunities, certificates, and a month-long internship at JP Associates.

ARTICLE WRITING COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Eligibility:

• The competition is open to individuals pursuing a law degree (3 Year or 5 Year Course), including LLM students.
• Participants must be followers of our LinkedIn page, JP Associates (https://www.linkedin.com/company/jpassociateslaw/)

2. Topic:

• Articles may be on any topic related to Intellectual Property Rights.
• Submissions must be relevant to the topic and meet the specified word count.  

3. Submission Guidelines:

• Articles must be submitted in Microsoft Word or Google Doc format.
• Submissions must include the Participant’s Name, Email Address, Contact Number, and College Name.
• Articles must be original and unpublished.
• Participants are required to adhere to the Bluebook format for citations.
• Word Limit: 1,200-1,500 words.
• Font: Times New Roman.
• Font Size: 12.
• Line Spacing: 1.5.
• Multiple entries are allowed

4. Format:

• Author Details
• Title
• Meta Title
• Meta Description (crisp 250-word description of the article)
• Introduction
• Tags/ keywords that are associated with the article
• Plagiarism report
• AI Report
• Word file of the article

5. Submission Deadline:

• The submission deadline is 28th July 2024.
• Late submissions will not be accepted.

6. Judging Criteria:

• Creativity and originality (30 points)
• Content and relevance to the topic (30 points)
• Clarity and writing style (20 points)
• Technical Understanding (20 points)

7. Prizes:

• Cash rewards for the top three winners
  • Winner – Rs. 1,500/-
  • 1^st Runner Up- Rs. 1,000/-
  • 2^nd Runner Up – Rs. 500/-
• Winning articles will be published

• Winners will receive certificates.
• Winners will be offered a month-long internship at J.P. Associates

8. Copyright:

• By submitting an article, participants grant JP Associates the right to publish and distribute the content.
• Participants retain the authorship over their work.

9. Disqualification:

• Plagiarism or copyright infringement will lead to immediate disqualification. (Max Plagiarism: 15%)
• Inappropriate or offensive content will not be accepted, and offenders will be barred from future competitions, contests, or internships with J.P. Associates.

10. Decision:

• The judges’ decision is final and binding.
• Winners will be notified through email and announced on our official page.
